Project Description

This project involved the construction of a new 26,000 square metre office building to accommodate the Department of Human Services. The building achieves a 4.0 Greenstar rating and incorporates general office space, specialised communications and broadcast facilities, Secretary’s Suite and on-site parking.

Involvement

Barmco Mana was enlisted to perform a number of services in response to the Department’s specific requirements. These services included the development of a base building design brief, tenant advocacy, superintendence of engineering services, validating functional requirements, budget review and cost planning, as well as a number of other tasks.

Value Added / Special features

Barmco Mana Partnership assisted the Department of Human Services through providing a number of important services. Key among these was supporting the DHS by providing fast, effective advice on technical and construction-related concerns. Further support included construction programming, budget estimates and assistance on data centre installations, as well as supporting other needs.
