This project involved the upgrade and re-fit of several rooms within the Calvary Hospital located in Bruce, Canberra.
The scope of the project included the refurbishment of seven rooms, totalling 24 beds. As well as refurbishment, the project also involved the conversion of two rooms into a four bed stroke unit.
Upgrades to facilities such as additional medical service panels and examination lights were also made, as well as the installation of patient entertainment systems.
Barmco Mana Partnership provided a number of project director services to Calvary Health Care, as well as providing design consultancy services. Among these services was the development and review of tender and contract documentation, superintendence services, design development and contract administration. BMP enabled Calvary Health Care to complete the project in a highly time and cost efficient manner.
BMP conducted value management exercises to ensure project works were delivered well below the budgeted value. This allowed for additional medical equipment to be purchased for the project.
